Pixie and Sera News Article

January Clinic Info

First and foremost we would like to wish all of our patients a happy and healthy new year.

As we start 2021 it’s disappointing that we are doing so with yet another Covid related article.
As a practice we want to reassure you that while lots of GP practices are physically shut to patients we remain very much open, and are on hand to help you though this difficult time.

At present we are in a similar position to all of our colleagues at other private GP practices across London, we DO NOT have access to the covid vaccine.

This is currently strictly restricted to the NHS. If you are eligible for the vaccine we would advise you to register with the NHS. (https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/gps/how-to-register-with-a-gp-surgery/) They are currently in charge of the national roll out more information is available here. (https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/coronavirus-vaccine/)

If you need a Covid test we are able to provide the following
1. Home delivery Covid PCR tests if you have symptoms.
2. Instant Covid tests (15 minute results) for reassurance (suitable for people who need to take daily tests).
3. All Covid testing for the purpose of travel including the “test and release” scheme.

Should you wish to order one please contact the office for further information.
We have upgraded these kits to include instant Covid Tests so you can now self test at home.

Screening should and will continue. It is important to attend for regular screens such as mammography, cervical smears and bone density scanning. Patients due for reviews chronic conditions like diabetes, blood pressure or cholesterol etc should also still attend.

Scheduled home visits. For our longstanding patients who simply can’t come to the practice but require a doctors review we can offer a home visiting service if clinically necessary.
